Tasks and remediation in Keel

Most compliance work fails not because nobody knows what to do, but because the doing has no owner or due date. Keel’s tasks turn findings, risk treatment, and review actions into tracked work, so remediation happens on a schedule instead of living in someone’s head.

Add a task with a clear description, an owner, a due date, and a priority. A task can stand alone, but it is most useful when it is tied to the thing it resolves, a gap on a control, a risk you are treating, a flagged account from an access review, or a corrective action.

Instead of chasing status across email and chat, everyone works from one list. Filter by owner, due date, or priority to see what is due this week, what is overdue, and what is done, so the state of remediation is always visible.

When the work is finished, close the task. Where the task produced proof (a new configuration, an approval, a completed review), attach the evidence so the fix is not just marked done but demonstrably done. That connection is what keeps your program continuously audit-ready rather than audit-ready only on paper.
